The Presidential Amnesty Programme has continued to produce success
stories as thousands of lives are being transformed. The Oguruyeke Diamond I
and the Pere of Tubutoru Kingdom in Odigbo local government area of Ondo State,
HRM Gbebokedi Ajiroba, typifies the success of the reintegration component of
the Presidential Amnesty Programme. He rose from of the ashes of militancy,
denounced violence, embraced amnesty and underwent training under PAP. Today,
he is the traditional leader of his community and a strong advocate of peace.
There are dozens of others whose lives have changed courtesy of the programme
and who are contributing their quota to societal development. Many like HRM Gbebokedi
Ajiroba are in positions of trust in the public and private sectors.
