Spiritually, human beings require social
reinforcement and validation of feelings and appreciation of accomplishments.
Knowing that rewards and recognitions as
necessary tools for motivation, the Special Adviser to the President on Niger
Delta/Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brigadier General Paul
Boroh (Rtd) on Wednesday, October 19th, 2016 facilitated a dinner for
outstanding amnesty beneficiaries at the Aso Villa to further inspire the
delegates as a boost in helping them to become valuable contributors to society
in line with the on-going reintegration phase of the Presidential Amnesty
Programme.
In that presidential dinner, the amnesty
beneficiaries were recognized for their accomplishments with a view to making
them better persons and professionals in their chosen fields.
Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Oluyemi
Oluleke Osinbajo hosted delegates and beneficiaries of the Amnesty Programme
under the leadership of Brigadier General Paul Tarela Boroh (rtd).
In the same vain, the Amnesty Office engaged
other beneficiaries as staff in addition to making recommendations to other
agencies and departments for employment. For instance, several beneficiaries of
the programme are now awaiting their employment letters from the federal civil service,
courtesy of the untiring efforts of Gen. Boroh.
Those who make First Class are always accorded
due recognition and attention under Gen. Boroh, Just recently, Brigadier
General Paul Boroh, in a bid to engage as many Ex Agitators as possible, reached
out to the Nigerian Content Development And Monitoring Board
The objective is to get the board to assist in
the assessment recertification and engagement of over 4000 beneficiaries of the
Amnesty Programme.
With a pool of over 13000 already trained beneficiaries
in various vocational activities, General Boroh is evidently on the right track
of training and engaging all beneficiaries of the Programme in no distant time.
General Boroh who led a delegation of
stakeholders and officials of the Amnesty Office, met with the Executive
Secretary, Engr Simbi Kesiye Wabote and officials of NABDA, at the boards
National Headquarters, in Yenegoa, to brainstorm on strategies to engage
trained beneficiaries of the Amnesty Programme, where he urged multinationals and
government agencies to consider engaging youths rather than, importing manpower
from other countries.
It is natural that when our efforts are
acknowledged and respected as been part of a team, we are motivated and feel a
sense of pride and satisfaction, which is indispensable to our psychological
development as humans.
Gen. Boroh is there to fill this gap in the
Niger Delta through his pragmatic leadership style as Special Adviser to the
Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme.
